I have a 1990 Full Size Bronco with a 300 Inline 6 engine. In the last 4 months several things have been going out. First the fuel pump...twice, then the battery, then a bad distributor cap, then the alternator went out. Now something in the electrical system is over charging the battery. The alternator indicator rises to the red line as the RPM's go up, and it fluxuates from time to time, a bad voltage regulator?????.......Any suddgestions or help on my problem would be greatly appreciated?????
Never had problem for 115,000 miles, one after another for about 4 months.
Yep Hawk, when it rains it pours! It is indeed a bad voltage regulator; that may have contributed to some of your previous problems if you didn't notice it. I don't know if your model is intergal with the alternator or separate, but it sho' nuff is the regulator. Good luck. Don
