Really simple question

Will anyone take a quick peed at their truck for me? I just got my windshield replaced and decided to replace my wipers too. Wow the new windshield sure is clear.

Anyway I noticed on the driver side the plastic piece between the windshield and the hood can be seen through, but the passenger side is solid plastic. I'm out of town and don't sleep well in hotels, but this doesn't look right to me. Am I just too tired or did they leave something out?

It looks to clean under there for it to have been exposed all this time.

I'm pretty sure that is how it's suppose to be. I would go look, but it's pouring down rain outside here.

Mines open on driver side- closed on pass. side. You're OK

Thanks guys. I was scared I was going to have to chase down the install van and try to find the missing part so I could leave town in the morning. I guess I panicked for no reason. I feel better now.

A little late but I checked mine and it's the same. I wonder why one side is open and one is closed?

Air intake for heater is under that piece,at least on the pre 97 bodystyle

That is the place to spray some Lysol while the A/C is running to get rid of mildew.
