Hey everyone. I'm still trying to figure out the problem with my truck. So far what I've done is replace my the TPS, Temp. sensor distributor cap & rotor. code check which are 23, 63, 42. also changed the ICM. The truck idles fine now but after an drive about a mile the engine is hot it misss every time you give it the gas. I checked for any vaccum leaks and I poor water around the IAC and it started sucking air around the cap off end. Is it surppose to dothis? I try it with the engine off nothing but when it's running you could here it when water is poored over it. everything seem ok. If that's not a problem then I will look at the fuel system.
Are you still getting the above codes? After you replace parts, clear the codes and check them again after driving it. If you still have TPS codes, then I would look for a wiring problem to the TPS.
Correction on the codes 23, 41 and 32, 25 KOER. 63 KOEO. 23 TPS, 41 HEGO LEAN, 32 EGR was changed with in the last 6 months. The TPS within a month. Do you know if the IAC is surpose to suck air from around the seal end?
There is never supposed to be unfiltered air going into the engine. If you still have the codes, you still have problems in those areas. A miss when you hit the gas does sound like a TPS problem.
Have a new TPS just need to put it on. I still have not had the question answered " Is the IAC surpose to draw air in from the capped end opposit the eletrical connection end?"
