Even if not, clean the plug in the engine compartment, as well as cleaning the socket. If that doesn't work, check and see if the wiring to socket is bad (exposed, crimped, etc.), if it is bad, snip the bad wiring out and reconnect. You could also buy a new socket from O'Reilly's for $7. Or order one from DC, JBG, etc. for 10. Usually, I just buy a new socket and the problem is solved.
Funny i just last month replace both rear sockets...looks like i am doing the front now....

Each socket has it's own seperate ground wire. Check the ground as that is probably your problem.

Oh and the old style glass type fuses are still available at most all parts stores.

The Bronco in my sig actually had all new sockets, so I had to do a little rewiring. As Ranger said, the fuses are readily available at most part stores. I usually like O'Reilly's. I think they're called Bus fuses. You can get an assortment or just the ones you need, they're in a yellow box with clear cover.
I am going to pull the socket out an trace the ground wire an put new fuse's in...An see if thats works..if not i will buy new socket's....Thanks for your help.....And to everybody that replyed......I will let you all know whats happens in a few day's... long few days at work this week.....

Just a reminder: Be careful buying new sockets for the taillights. some aftermarket sockets place the bulb to close to the lens and they will eventually melt a hole in the lens. Always compare length to original.
