Wouldnt some stock F250 springs and a leveling kit in front and slightly taller block in back? Drop shacles are good for a couple inches too. Theres a few ways you can go to add a lil more lift to the 2-2.25" the F-250 springs alone give the excursion. Theres a thread in the super duty section about adding another inch of lift right now.
I am considering a F250 spring swap with a drop shackle to add a couple more inches and might try to squeeze some 35s under my truck.
The only issue is that I am converting from a 6" lift to a 3". I know that sounds backwards, but just trying to get it to fit my needs a little better. I looked into going back to stock and then doing the spring swap, etc., but that ended up looking like it would cost more than just going to a 3" Superlift (I got it on a good deal). Thanks for the suggestion though. Mostly I am wondering if the tires that I have will work or what I might need to do. Also, wondering about the look.
I put the 3'' kit on my X, not to long ago love it to. I have the ranch hand front bumper replacement on mine so a good bit extra weight over stock and extended out further. It was really doing a number on my stock springs. I have been very pleased with the new set up, I opted not to do blocks in the rear as the X's alread have blocks, I did a add a leaf in the rear, wich has me sitting pretty level as far as the eye can tell. I am going to do firestone air bags in rear to help when i tow heavy though. If I had to do it over again I might opt to get rid of the rear blocks all together and get springs for the rear. As it was I was able to do everything for under 1300$, and I got dual shocks up front and a helwig sway bar.
Sorry man no pics as of now, I can try to take some. That is roughly just for parts, had a friend put it on for like 300$, he also had to by some new undercarragae parts when he was under there to, just to be on the safe side.
I've got a shop here in Vegas that says that they will take the 6" off and install the 3" for $1050 including tax. That's for parts, labor, and tax. I think that's a fair deal. Hopefully we don't run into any "extras". Should be done the first of next week. What size tires are you running?
right now still have the wennie tires on it, since they have most of their tread life on them and they cost a lot. I have 305x70x16. I wanna go bigger, they guy at the lift shop said I could do with 35's maybe a touch over. Kinda looks funny now with the small tires in there and a big gap in fender clearance.
Just going with the blocks for now. We'll see how it rides and go from there. Hope my wheels look ok. You've got me worried. They are 325/60/18 (not much bigger than yours) and I thought they would look plenty big with a 3". Now I'm wondering.
you should be good to go man. Hell anyway don't worry aobout it, tires cost money burn all the tread off the ones ya got then swap to a differnt size latter.
