I need a little more load capacity in my truck, so I'm looking at the Timbren SES air springs for my '88 F250. I would probably put in a few extra springs as well as these things. I'm wondering what you guys think of them.
just remember that u can up the load capacity but it is only a 3/4 ton so loading over the legal weight will result in fines. the truck can handle the weight (as long as its a real F-250) but braking and handling will need to be takin into consideration.
just what he said. bags and additional springs should only be expected to keep the truck more level when loaded down. thinking the load capacity increases due to using this stuff is poor judgment and dangerous. I would only run the airbags because when your unloaded springs will make the ride worse.
Remember when looking to increase your load capacity in your truck with air bags, springs, etc.. that you also consider the load capacity of you existing tires! Just an FYI.. Good Luck!!
Yeah, I was looking at all that. All I really want to do is be able to carry a up to 1,000 KGs without my springs sitting flat. A friend told be about the Timbren SES air springs, and I wanted to know if any of you have used them.
1, you only get fined if you get caught going over.
2, you can get your load capacity legally increased. This requires an inspection proving that your truck can handle the extra weight properly so more upgrades are required than just the suspension.
