Rain Rain Rain

You guys on the coast getting hammered? I know it worse down there than up here around Jackson. We've had about a half inch or so since last night. It shouldn't be as bad as Florida though, Pres. Bush declared 4 counties as major disaster areas, probably should have been more counties according to the news footage I've seen. Stay dry.

Here in Kentwood we have about an inch of good slow drizzle all day, the good kind that soaks in and stays in the ground, I hope it keeps it up tonight and tomorrow.

Two blocks from the beach it just drizzled all day. It never puddled in the yard. I doubt that we got a half of an inch at my house.

Yeah, We needed this slow rain, been so dry here, although it's to late to help the garden, it's about dried up, except the okra and maybe the peas, what's left after the deer got them.

Its rained here a pretty good bit over the past 24 hours too, Don't know how much but staring out my window i can see an extremely large puddle thats taking up about 1/2 of the front yard. Its a low spot, but still.

For the better part of the summer any passing front or flare-up T-showers seemed to part as it ran over central Rankin Co. Now after the last 3 weeks I think I'm begining to MOLD!

At least I haven't had to water my wife's flowers & all the shrubs I planted this year.

Weather service sez we're over 11-1/2+ for month of Aug, a record.

As long as it don't flood, I love the rain, just for what you said, I don't have to water the wifes flowers and shrubs as much

I work in Memphis @ the Valero refinery and the walk to my truck was in ankle deep water today. Then getting on the ramp was flooded (a park ranger) made us turn around and find an alternate route. It took me an hour to make an twenty min drive home.
