where do u get the o-rings, and is there any o-rings inside the injector to be changed? i'm getting alot of blue smoke on startup and when u take off from an idle. will this make it start better after it sits for a while? and how does that effect the power under a load?

thanks

no, just cranks for a long time be for starting, and lots of blue smoke, and little less power.

does it do this every time?? or just after it sits for a while?? if its after it sits..let it sit..then check the oil level in the HPOP reservoir.. it should be full or no more then a 1/2 inch from the top....also check the fuel bowl to see if its full...let us know what you find..

only after it sits, the oil in the hpop is full, and the fuel bowl is full and black, looks like motor oil in the fuel.?

yes just 1500 mi ago, and yes i'm running peanut oil w/additives but it has'nt ever looked like that or acted like this be for. i have been using peanut oil for the last 5 mo.(8000 mi) with no problem till now. the last time i changed my fuel filter at 5000 mi it looked a little dark but not like this one at 1200 mi. and all my peanut oil still looks new so i don't think it's that, well it did'nt smoke like this until just the last 1000 mi. and it's always started hard when it sits for a few days, but now it's a few hours.

I would guess you need to change the filter and possibly drop your fuel tank and clean out the very fine screen that sits on the bottom of the tank..also clean the screen at the fuel pumps inlet..my guess tells me you got a bunch of crap floating in there..bio will clean your tank, lines and pump spotless..all the crap needs to get stuck some place other then the injectors.thats what the screens are for..

so what about the o-rings in the injectors? is there any internal or just the three i seen on the out side? or do u think the black oil in the fuel and blue smoke is from the filters?

The oil is right beside the fuel in the injector body, if that layer of o-ring is leaking, its nothing for the 500-3000psi oil to push back through the 50psi fuel circuit pressure and make the bowl black. It consists of pulling the injectors, using a pick to remove the old ones, oil up and install the new ones, reinstall injectors. Good time to do glow plugs while youre in there!

I second what Kris says - the o-rings are pretty easy (and a WHOLE lot cheaper then injectors) You will need 8 o-ring kits, as eack kit only covers one injector. Although the o-rings might be in good shape, the copper washer on the tip is a one time use deal. My question is how is your oil level? If it was pushing back throught the orings you should be seeing a drop in the oil level, especially after 1000 miles.

It might be worth doing the work on the tank first, as it is a little less involved then the injectors. (open the hood and look for the valve covers - the injectors are under there. It isn't hard work, just a bit of digging to get to them)

As to your question, though, there are no o-rings inside the injectors that are field servicable (if any). From the top to the tip, there are a steel washer, flat backup ring and oring in the top groove, a special designed seal in the middle groove, an oring in the bottom groove, and the copper crush washer on the tip.
