I haven't thought of trying to start a thread about engine bay photos. Well here is my attempt.
I'm always a sucker for a nice and clean engine bay. Mine is still a work in progress. Ive actually came a long way since the day it was bought.... What else can I do to clean it up a bit? Thanks and dont forget your engine bay pictures...
I wish mine would be that clean. Id am afraid to wash it. The grease and oil may be the only thing holding the engine together... lol I will post pics as soon as I can get my camera charged.
Pull the Alt. and AC brackets and paint them a nice high gloss black. Then look at Dave S' picks with the fuel lines painted red, looks real nice. Then the bracket that the fuel filter mounts on and the the filter base. I'm doing mine with the bracket black and all of the fuel system red. I know I have no shame, steeling Dave's idea, but now is no time to get all ethical.
You've done some nice work, I know cause I'm in the process of putting a complete oil soaked pig back together and I know first hand how much work it takes to see the color on the fire wall.
Good on ya.
P.S. I'll post pics when I get things together enough that I'm not emabarassed to claim ownershp.
Nice, clean truck. Looks great. I love a clean, simple engine bay although mines not neat so I can't say nutin. Since your out for ideas, I would also try to paint that brake booster and organize some of them wires like the ones by the fuel filter. You can go to the parts store and get a wire loom set. When you put it on, itstead of using zipties (I hate the way zip ties look and they also scratch/cut you when your working on things), tightly electrical tape the ends of it and a coupple spots in the middle evenly spaced. Also, I wouldn't tape the ends closed so it doesn't trap water in the loom. Here are a few pics of mine. Maby If I show my mess then others will be less ashamed of theirs... Hey, Ain't that a reel on the bottom of the hood. My 95 chevy came with one but this one didn't I like those things.

Yeps, tis the reel for the underhood light - I got one of these in my storage closet, tis off my buddy's '86 diesel, cause he didn't like it. In my truck I got a 2-outlet adapter of the cigarette-lighter type, I plug my mag-mount light in it, and it works good.
My wife's '90 Suburban has one of those light reels. I think it's cool but honestly I've never used it. I keep a Solar powered LED flashlight (not a joke) on the dash of my daily drivers and have got to used to using it.
I have used mine so many times on my chev Im supprised its not wore out.. Its a great addition. I usually do alot of maintence at night when it cooler and since it never needs charged, what a great flashlight. I think I have used it more working on othres than my own. Also, there has to be more engine bay pictrures for rmalottwtes30 (I actually have memorized your long name to the point I may use it as a password). I would also like to see a few. Dirty, Clean, Organized or not, post them.
