The Nitto's are better tires.

I'm on my second set of Nittos and will probably replace them with more Nittos.

IMO! Stay away from Nitto's!! I had a set that didnt last 22k. Go with the Toyo's. I'm not the only one out there that has had this problem with Nitto's. The guy I bought my Coopers from no longer sales Nitto's because he had a guy that didnt 10k out of them and he had to replace them for him. He said he called the factory rep for Nitto and they told him that they make those tires to preform and not to last. That was a set of Terra Grappler's. Thats what I had and I was not impressed with their performance or how long they lasted. I wouldve bought Toyo's this last time but nobody in my arae carries them, so they wouldve had to been ordered. I just rotated my Coopers today and they showed no unusual signs of wear. With the Nitto Terra Crapplers, the first time i rotated them i saw unusual wear! Some people get good mileage with them but I'm not wasting my money on any more to try to find out.

I wore a set of Toyo A/T's out in around 30,000 miles and got a new set under warranty (50K warranty) on my old truck. I sold the truck with only about 5K on the tires so I don't know how they held up, but I've heard other guys complaining about tire life with the Toyos. I think the tire companies are using a lot softer rubber than they used to so they can sell more tires... no tire seems to last very long any more.

The question is Nolan, how long have you had them? Don't get me wrong they are GREAT tires- I ran them year round and the traction was top notch (I plowed through bumper deep snow in my old 95 with those tires and they kept on a grabbin') but they don't last as long as they should.

I will have to admit from where i stand it dosn't seem like they are going to last as long as they should. It's hard for me to gauge though because they were new when i bought the truck over a year ago but then after 6 months of owning the truck it broke and sat for a few months... I'd have to look at paperwork to figure out how many miles i have put on them. As for traction they are A+!!! Last winter my friend got his chubby stuck in some good ruts/mud and I dragged him out without slipping a tire and i was in 2wd. LOL he hit a rut with both front tires at the same time and broke both steering arms! Poor IFS!!!

As for ride quality and road noise the are super quite and ride nice!

Toyo's here and love them. Was amazed at how little weight it took to balance them compared to the BFGs that I used to run.

Very similar tires.......can't say I'm really a fan of either.

I think you'd be happier and get more miles out of the Toyo MT.

Depending on size.....Toyo Open Country MT, BFG KM2, Kumho Muds (nice tire...but I don't like that they are directional), Hankook Dynapro MT (do well on smaller vehicles and I've had good luck with other Hankooks...but never ran the MT on a SD), Mickey Thompson MTZ and what I run on my 01 which is the Dick Cepek Mud Country.

In an AT....I run Goodyear Silent Armor Pro Grades on my 07 (should get 50,000-60,000 out of them), Mickey Thompson ATZ, Kumho ATs

Toyo MTs are great tires that a lot of SDs get 50,000+ miles out of. Only downside is price and that a lot of people run them, if you want to do something different.

I like the Dick Cepek Muds on my 01 and since I don't drive it much I'll have them for a long time.
On my 07 I may run the Mickey Thompson MTZ next time around mainly just since I wouldn't mind a more aggressive tread pattern at times.
I really like the BFG KM2 but they are pricey as well......and I wish they had higher load ratings in some of their sizes since I tow and haul heavy with my 07.

BFG's new MT......similar in looks to the Krawler, but with better on road manners and longevity.

I love the looks and they perform very well.

We have them in our webstore to get an idea on pricing (they aren't cheap):

I have been running these tires for a little over a year now and have about 35-39K on them. Great tire, a little hard to keep balanced, but very nice road manners, and great traction.
