6.0 trans cooler temps
I just finished installing the 6.0 cooler. I had a good idea of my normal driving temps with my old trans cooler. And when I towed my 13K toy hauler I would get close to 215 - 220 at times. this is why i went to the 6.0 cooler. So what should i be looking for with the new cooler + ambient temps? For the old cooler I remember about 80 + ambient for non towing. I added approx 40 more degrees towing the trailer. So far with the new cooler it is holding around 120-130 at 83 degrees outside. It used to be approx 160-170 at about 80 degrees. thanks jeff

I think most see ambient plus 50-60* with a larger or additional cooler. I would also say most see at least an overall drop of 20-30* in their trans temp while towing or empty. I have the additional TruCool cooler and have not seen above 180* trans temps in the summer while towing in 100* outside temps.
