Question Warn Premium Hub Install

Just got my warn hub's. All kinds of part laying in the box. The instructions seem pretty much useless. Anyone have some installation pictures? I can see what to do the with the large snap ring, but not all the other small rings and spring like washer that are lying in the box. What a mess, but I am sure they are great once installed.

Thanks
Ray

Did the hubs not come fully assembled in the box? I put those hubs in my truck a few months ago i don't remember any small parts lying around in my box.

Wow, sounds like things have changed since I did mine a couple years ago. Once I pulled the OE hub off everything looked very straight forward.

I say take one side off and you will see where everything goes. Then the other side will take just a few minutes.

Swapped mine last year. The small lock rings are not needed for the '99 and up Superduty's. Don't remember a spring like washer in my kit (part #38826) but the large snap ring is all you need. Make sure to bend the end of the large snap ring or you'll have a heck of a time getting the hub off next time. 10 minutes each side is all you need for this. Took me longer to find the right hex wrench out of my toolbox.

Did mine less than a year ago and don't remember too many parts. Seems like it was pretty strait forward. Can you get and post a picture?

Yes, the parts were all over the box. I real mess. BUT...

Just finished the install, I put the spring like washer between the cap and the hub. I think it puts pressure on the spline. These are awsome, I have 4x4 once again..

Thanks for all the advise.

Ray.

I think I remember a spring for tension on the hub but don't remember it being a separate piece. Glad you got it on though.

Sounds like the hubs just come apart. Hubs, caps, springs and retainers all being loose would look bad to start with. Lucky for me, mine was still together. Glad you got in and I know you will enjoy them for a long time.

I did use your pics to see if I could see that spring like washer. Or pressure spring, and I think I see it there on the cap. THanks.
