Good morning all. First time posting to this great forum.
I just bought a used '06 F-250, 6.0 PSD, XLT Lariat, crew cab, SB, and love it. I am very happy with the performance and gas mileage (15-16 MPG pulling camper trailer/22 MPG cruising hwy w/o trailer) I am getting now, but was wondering what programmer you would recommend for even better performance. I've heard a brand named Predator, but know nothing about them.
If this is a repeat of a previous thread, my appologies.
+1 for the SCT w/custom tune. The alternative would be a Bully Dog PMT, I had one in my 2006 6.0L and really like the info from the screen. Shift on the fly was a big plus also. All of my current vehicles have SCT products, but I miss the PMT screen.
I'm going to buy a SCT Xcal 3 for my truck. I'll probably get it from Troyer Performance. I've used Troyer for most of the mods on my 97 F150. My last tuner was a 9100 SCT. It was the best tuning I ever put on my truck. I tried 4 different chips & programmers before the SCT. The SCT was the only one that came close to the hp gains it claimed. I gained power, mpg, & the best shifting I've ever had from a chip. I highly recommend them highly. They really know the Ford motors.
