Has any one done a conversion from a vent window to a one piece roll up window?

I'm sure it can be done they started doing this to Chevy trucks a few years ago. It would seem to me that a window cut to fit,maybe a longer window track and window channel it should be possible. I will continue to research it,it is a mod I would like to make.

It's just not feasible on our trucks because of the door.
There wouldn't be any room for the channel where the vent window is now.
Plus, the cost wouldn't justify the benefits (if there were any).

man why do this the vent window is like the greatest idea ever it catches so much air its my air conditioning as well. they totally need them back

but you will be losing lots of functionality with the whole window with no vent window any more

How is that? It will still let air in.

Of course it will still let air in, but not as well as the vent window itself. Because the vent is close to perpendicular with airflow, it "catches" the air and directs is better than just the open window would.
I would leave the vent window, after all, thats what makes an old truck cool anyways.
