I have a 77 F150 4x4 and am having a hard time finding a front cv d-shaft. Where can I find one, and can you take rear cv parts and have a place build a front one? Thank you for the help. No one around here can help me find anyparts for my older model truck.
Looking for a complete used shaft? Why would you do that?
Why buy old parts, or even try to retro-fit?
Just as easy to have a completely new shaft made for your application.
It would be terrible to make a shaft from existing componets, only to have it fail.
Why not just have a brand new shaft made? I would imagine that it would be far less expensive this way.
well if I could find a decent used one and put all new u joints and cv heads and parts, I could use it for the time being since I dont do any extreme wheeling, and id rather break a d-shaft than an inner axleshaft. Where would I find a new one? and can I get one that isnt made for someone running 44's that cost 900 dollars? This truck is only for around the house and deer hunting only. (Mud never gets over the hubs) but I do use 4wd a little bit in the woods. Thanks for the help.
