anybody out there have any idea where i can get 35-12.50/16 or 315-75/16 tires in a highway tread. was running hoosiers , but they stopped making truck tires.great for towing, good in snow and rain, not so good in mud! and no i DO NOT want to go to a big chrome spinny rims and lo pro tires!
I just put on Nitto Terra grapplers last week the price was right, and they look great. Have to wait to see how long they last, some say 50k some say 30k, guess I'll find out.
By highway you mean your not looking for an all terrain or HP tire, but more like a semi truck tire? While 16" tires are still fairly plentiful, I am not sure about that tread design.
Quick search is
Good Year MTR (probably more off-road than you looking for.)
BFG All terrain K/O
Yokohama Geolandar
Kumho Road Venture
and Toyo Tires - lgt-suv-truck
The open country a/t is available in 315/75r16.
I have the Open Country M/T and I like them.
Look into the Michelin LTX AT2's. Kinda pricey but they sure do ride good. I never could get my BFG All Terrain TA's balanced correctly and have a friend with the Toyo Open country's and he only got 30k miles out of them. By bro-inlaw has Bridgestone Duelers (load range D)and they ride and wear good but when he puts a trailer on the ride gets washy (probably because of the D rating).
