how many of you had to replace the high pressure oil pump and how much was it, I just paid $2,400 at 96,000 miles

What year is your truck? Unless you were over 100K, you really shouldn't have paid that nuch, if anything.

Spoke to my buddy about this a few minutes ago who is a local Service Manager at a Ford Dealership. He said "You don't wanna know", I said come on, he said "about $2,100".

43,586 on mine and the only problem is when towing it looks like a water fall comming out of the hood with the amount of Coolant that comes out of it.

I replaced mine myself the pump was near 700 bucks.On the 03 engine you have to take off the intake manifold and turbo to access the pump so it is quite a bit of work.The late 04 and up you only need to remove the turbo and egr cooler.I did mine in about 5 hrs so you must have paid high hourly rate.
