getting there

just finished installing a 2 1/2 leveling kit on my 05 fx4 it raised the spring rate slightly but not too bad, it's a ready lift kit. also pulled my headlights apart and painted them black soon to get some tires, rather the new bfg muds or pro comps extreme m/t's
ohh yah i had front 36inch from ground to bottem of fender with 6 1/4 gap
rear 39 with a 9 gap now 39 and about 8 1/2 gap up front

well here's some pics let me know what you think

I like the headlights and the new front height...but are you rear heavy now? can't tell if it's the angle of the pic or if you'r bulldogging it

it's pretty much dead on the front sits 1/2 inch lower then the rear. I'll see what happens once i get some new tires if it still looks like it's "bulldoggin" I'll get a one inch lift block for the rear. ohh man never noticed, until now how much lower the rear looks in the first pic, gotta take another pic when it's sitting on level ground.

I know how it feels. My truck sits exactly level...so of course at times it sits butt heavy using my trusty Mk1 eyeball. move it to a new position and presto, it's leveled again

i did the headlights on my civic first, and must say it was much more difficult getting them apart on my pick up, first off you have to take them off the truck, then pull all bulbs and the rubber surround from the headlight bulb. then put them in the oven yes i said oven lol on about 200F for 10-15 min the get the glue nice and hot. then with help of someone holding the light you can prey the light apart with some cursing and using a few flat head screw drivers, if you cant get it or start to get them apart and it gets real hard through them back in the oven. apparently you can do this with a heat gun but i have heard it takes much longer. the reflector for the light stays with the back piece and the chrome piece that i painted is screwed to the lens with 2 small screws the amber reflector just pops off, mask off how you want the signal reflector to look and then i sanded with 400 grit paper and just used a can of gloss black spray bomb. while the paint is drying between coats you can warm the back part of the light assembly again and peel all the old glue off with help from a small flat head. it's a bitxh if you don't heat it. after everything is dried reassemble sealing the light with clear or black silicon, just fill the gully before putting the two halves together.
Ps if you bend the tabs holding the two halves together when taking it apart you can re heat them and bend them back to there proper spot it took me about 4 hours to do in total. the only help i had was my wife holding the light while i took it apart.

any thoughts? i'm thinking just the little bit around the outside and on the bottom in the reflector itself
