Aftermarket alternator
What kind of aftermarket upgrade alternators have you guys used? i'm looking for an upgraded alternator with higher amperage. I'm also looking for ultimate reliability, cuase i hate when my truck breaks, it only lets my chevy drivin friends think their right! Thanks for any opinions.

Aftermarket alternator
i have an HO alternator from www.mralternator.com it is rated at 170 amps although most aftermarket alternators do not put out the rated power at idle. Mr.alternator is the same way. they are cold rated and the output goes down as they heat up, but they cost 200 doillars and provide much more power thana stock alternator. They put them in cases for your particular motor. you can get 100 - 200 amp alternators from them.
