Hi all,
I see dropped shackles on the net some have tapered shims, some do not.
The shackles are only dropping the rear 2".
The question is , Do you realy need the shims?
I'm dropping the front 2" with springs, so I think the stance of the truck will be the same as now only 2" lower.
The truck is a 06 screw 2WD
Thanks for the answers.
Russ
According to the site i visit the shims are needed to keep the rear end and drive shaft angle the same as stock. This releaves added stress caused by lowering the rear
some trucks experience vibration issues without these shims.
some trucks never get vibrations issues.
50/50 and you won't know until you try it
I hate to say it, but your best bet is to buy the shim kit. If you need it, then you can slap it in there. If it's not needed, put it in the classifieds. I'm fairly certain it'll sell.
