I posted this on the aerostar message board , but I think it may be more appropriate here.

I have a 1992 aerostar who's speedometer and odometer quit working. My mechanic has checked it out and indicated that the signal is being generated but not registering on the display. Calling around it will cost around $700 minimum to replace the instrument display. I can live without the speedometer, but would like a simple way to get the ododmeter reading. I'm planning to sell the van this year so i don't want to put a lot of money into it. The display has the needle speedometer with a LCD odometer.

Any suggestions?
