I have never seen this emblem on any 66's not saying it's not real. I'm no authority on these parts, I'm learning as I go. What's it from? It's the one shaped like a plane.

I know what it is, and it is genuine Ford, but it was not installed by Ford on a truck from any year.
BA-16850-A / Fits: 1952/53 Ford passenger cars.
It looks similar to the type used on 1954 passenger cars, but it's not the same.
The seller has been informed.
When one has owned over 80 Ford products and has gone to as many swap meets over the past 45 years as I have, ID'ing this stuff is a piece of cake.
Most of these emblems are junk because they were plated with "Korean War" chrome.
Chromium and copper were restricted during 1951/53, so automakers plated nickel (no copper undercoat, no chrome) onto bare steel, then sprayed clear lacquer on to "protect" the parts.
The lacquer soon turned dirty yellowish-brown and flaked off, then...the pitting began.
Looks like hood emblem from 49-51 vintage passenger car, not sure how many yrs. the emblem covered. Wish the fender emblems were for a 65 F100 I would go for it, if the hood emblem in the package is for the 49-51 Ford passenger car, don't think they come cheap.

The 1949/50 Ford passenger car hood ornament had a plastic insert in it, it didn't resemble a jet plane at all.
A pic of one of these was posted in the 1948/60 forum several days ago: Thread: F-1 Strange Hood Ornament, post #2. There it is!
I'm waiting for the OP in that other thread to post the oddball hood ornament he found...from the description, it's not from a Ford car or truck.
1951 cars use a shorter version of the passenger cars jet plane ornament used 1952/53, and 1954, 1955, 1956 which are different from each other.
The rocket ship/jet plane ornaments began in the late 1940's, the most famous of all are the types Olds used.
The 1955/56 Shove-it-or-leave-its used two different jet plane types.
Most Ford owners worth their salt wouldn't use these ornaments on a Ford, using the engines is bad enough.
Ya...Ive seen a few ebayers saying a piece was from a given year and corrected them...some correct the info, some dont...irritating when one doesnt...
This yet another reason the much talked about parts manuals are a nice thing to have so you can see if a part is for you or not...there are a good number of parts used on our trucks that are CXAZ numbers (X= insert year digit there)
