panic attack about ignition!
After reading several threads, I'm starting to panic a bit. First, I have a carbed 86 300 that has a computer(disconnected), and it runs fine. I'm putting in a 93 331 that has the 93 mustang distributor. It has the EXACT module that my 86 has. Now, I've been told that the comp in my truck controls the module but how can it if it's unplugged and the truck still runs? I was hoping that I could just swap in the 331 and plug the original truck ignition harness to the mustang distributor? It should work no? The only difference is that the truck harness has no SPOUT connector, which the mustang did. If the computer does in fact control ignition timing, can I use it to control the V8 timing? Or do I need to get the ready to run MSD distributor with it's built in module? Help!
