dome light troubles
Have a '02 F-150 supercrew, when the doors are closed the back upper door lights are on and bright. The front door light and dome light is on also, but dim. When i turn the dome light switch to the on position, the rear lights go out and the front doors/dome light brighten. Help help help please!

I would spray Wd 40 into the latch on each door, then open and close each door about 10 or more times. The switch for those lights are in there, and it is real common on these for those to hang up.

Well, it's not the switch, and i tried another driver's door latch.....same result. I also sprayed WD-40 in all the latches heavily and opened/close each door numerous times, still no fix. Is the wiring harness grounded somewhere that i can find easily maybe?

I have to agree with Torkum then, and look at the switch on the dash. All the switches are tied together, and if one switch has one of it's contacts compromised, it can do strange things. Like a 2-way switch in your house. Put one switch in the middle position and look what happens to the other switch. Does the fade feature still work? That is a form of reostat (sp) and builds heat.
