I need to add a connector for trailer lights for my 89 F150. I will be using a flat connector. Any suggestions on where to make my connections into the wiring harness on the truck??
I have no idea of which wire goes where to achieve what would be considered to be the standard hookup. Looking at the connector with the ground plug to the left hand side what is the order for the remaining wires?
Go to your favorite parts supplier and purchase a trailer wiring connector for your model year. It will install between the existing harness connector at the left rear of the vehicle and requires no splicing or damage to existing componets. Total install time about 1 minute.

He just needed the Standard CODE for the wires and what they ran.
That's what I provided him with.
