I just bought a 2004 f150 supercab. I love this truck. I wanted to get opinions on a bed cover. I was looking at paragon retractable, looks good and would give me full use of bed if needed. Does anyone have one and how is it does it leak quality ect. Thanks for any help.
Sorry I do not know about Paragon products. I have the Pace Edwards Bedlocker, power retractable cover. Kind of pricey, but I love it and it suits my needs well. Has very little leakage even in a car wash. I recommend them.
I have an 2008 SCREW FX4. My 02 SCREW had the hard Tonneau cover and I didn't want that again. I spent months reviewing the covers and went with the Retrax. I freakin love it!!!! It's one piece will never lock up with crap falling in between the panels. I can also open and close the tailgate without sliding it back. We get some serious storms in Houston and it has never leaked. 30 minutes and six beers is all it took to install.
I narrowed my choices down to the Peragon and Fold-a-Cover for my '08 Supercrew with 6.5' bed that I got in July. I've had the Fold-a-Cover (G4 Elite) for 2 weeks and really like it so far. My question with the Peragon would be the accordion open/close action. If you had a bed full of stuff in there--say boxes that went right to the bottom of the cover, would you not be able to open the cover until you moved the boxes out of the way? That would be a pain. I also like the Fold-a-Cover because you can open it from either end. I took it through a touchless auto car wash the other day (more to see how waterproof it was than anything) and it was very dry afterwards (only a few water spots on each side towards the tailgate).
I can remove it in just a couple minutes if I need the whole bed. Hope this helps.
