I know that the frame on the 77 F250 is wider than the 73 F250, but I am not sure about the F100. The Cabs are the same on all of the trucks through the 73 through 79 series. It wouldn't make economical sense to make a different size cab for each model, so my thoughts are that it would work. You might have to relocate the cab mounting bolts, but I think it would work. As far as the A/C box you could always cut out a piece of sheet metal to cover the hole. But if it doesn't interfere with anything then leave it on. You might want to add air later and it would be a good start.

Buy the entire truck, lift cab and front clip together, not seperating lay the a.c. compresser on the fender, and set it on the other frame, less than 24 hrs and you will be back on the road again. Direct bolt up for the cab and clip on all 4X2's. 1973 THRU 1979 Just a side note, try to get wire harness for entire truck, they will be different plugs, engine one will probably be points, the 77 will not have points. Best to get entire truck for swap.

Good luck
