ok i bought myself a 89 bronco last night but none of the guages work except the tack and maybe the speedo no oil press or volt fuel or temp apparently the guy swapped the engine from a 92 f150 same motor and used that wiring harnes and plugged it into the old one should i just be able to switch some wires around and get the guages back back?

could be the sending units on the motor itself. the location of those sensors would be in the same location on either year. the oil press is above the oil filter, temp is on top of the lower intake. the fuel might be a bad sending unit on the pump which is in the tank.

ook im gona try and really have a good look at it today i havent really had time yet i just wanted to get an idea i did see that everything appearsto be plugged in but ill keep looking

ok there all hooked up i was playing with the back of the instrument cluster panel and now the volt meter gauge works fine same with the tach and speedo but still now oil pressure or temp gauge or fuel he said they worked fine until he put the new engine in so i dont know if u have any ideas let me know thnxs
