brake question
hello all, im new to the superduty world, i just got my first one about a week ago..i am having some brake issues and i figured someone here could help diagnos it..most of the time when i hit the brakes it has a full pedal and the brakes stop good like normal but sometimes when i hit them the pedal goes almost to the floor but it sill stops good..a couple times when sitting at a stoplight it will have a good pedal and i can let up just a hair to inch up in line and when i put pressure back on the pedal it goes way down..anyone have any ideas on what i can check? thanks (btw, if it helps it is an early 99 supercab longbed, 4x4 with a 5.4)

Or, the master Cyl is about gone - Esp if the brake fluid was never changed by the prev owner. If your fluid is dark brown ranging to black I'd bet this is the case. The other possibility is a swollen/deteriated brake hose - check the ones in the back - they usually go 1st.
