Heater Motor
I have two 55 trucks, one is a flat bed 1 ton and the other is a f100. Both are in a thousand pieces at this time with a lot of sanding, blasting, welding and cleaning going on. I was in the process of converting my wiper motor to a 12 volt VW motor when I thought I would take a look at the heater fan motor. Both motors read 12v on the back and both seem to run fine when hooked up to a 12 volt battery. Is this how the 55's came or has someone already changed them.

That's kinda tough to say from what I know. I've read Ford started to go to 12volt in late 1955 and totally in 1956 . Although most 55 stuff I've actually seen and found were all 6volt. My 55 panel was all 6volt and I converted to 12v. I'd say chances are great the blower motors were taken from a 56. Hope this helps
