Just a Few Questions

I have a 96 f150 reg cab. I am looking at a delta toolbox for a full size pickup it opens from the sides on both sides. I like that style a lot. How hard are these to put in. Never done something like that before. My next question is tires I am looking at Wrangler MT/R for it. Anyone try these or have any experience. Also I am looking for a grill guard for the front but something not whimpy.

I'd like to comment on the tool box.

I've had a number of them boxes over the years, for a while I had two on my truck.
Do yourself a favor and get the full lid.

The boxes with two lids opening like wings are a pain. You can't reach the stuff in the center very easy if at all. Or you scratch the heck out of your truck trying to. I'm 6"2" and I couldn't do it. The full lid is just so much easier all around and if you want to/have to you have the option of jumping up in the back of the truck to access the center. You can't do that with the dual lid box.

At least stop by and have em set one of each type up on your truck and try it out before you buy, then decide what one to get.
As far as installing them I bolted them to the top rail so it can't be riped off lock stock and barrel. I don't use them anymore, I have a enclosed Hallmark for my tools. They may have a new way to secure em I'm not aware of now days.

Anyone got ideas on the brush guard? Looking in the 300 dollar range.

The Delta boxes don't actually come with any hardware anymore. They tell you in the instructions to use J-bolts. Overall I wasn't impressed with the quality of a recent Delta tool box purchase (for a ford ranger.) Gas springs looked like they would break (100% plastic construction) very soon and the welds made me sick. I know aluminum isn't the easiest thing to weld, but there were welds that actually veered off the seam and went elsewhere...

As far as a brush guard goes, start looking at sponsors and find something that you like. If you actually plan on using the brush guard for guarding against brush (which like 99.9% of people don't,) get one that reaches all the way around the corners.
