Hi I'm a new member in the Scottish Borders with a Born Free RV based on a 1991 Ford Econoline E350.
I think I've bought a load of trouble so I'd better go to a help forum.

Man, you have had some troubles with that one. Don't be afraid to post in other forums since it sounds like you have a couple things going on with that RV. A friend of mine had similiar problems with his 93 E-van and it turned out to be the ABS sensor on the axle. $17 later and he was going strong. I wouldn't be surprised if it's something simple on yours to. Try out this board and see if the folks there can help you with the tranny: Clutch,Transmission, Differential, Axle and Transfer Case - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums
