I wonder if they make the cops experience the tazer before graduation. I took some classes at the Rio Hondo academy and they made us do the gas experience. Would NOT care to do it again, thank you very much.

i will pass on the epileptic thank you very much....but yes i belive that most police accadamis do that as part of the training so you "know how it feels" when you are tazing the suspects...

Bill they do have to experience it. I crossed trained as an officer where I work short of getting the special police commision and had to go through pepper spray training. I do not recommend getting peppersprayed. It sucks.

All I ever did was take shooting classes at the academy. I was not looking for a LEO career. The Rio Hondo academy used to open their shooting range classes up to the community.

(translation, please)I didn't know that. The Long Beach academy used to be open to the public also, but that was many, many moons ago.
