The sticker on my door says 1/23/2004. The sticker on the silver box thing (sorry I don't know what it is.. ) under the degauss bottle has a yellow sticker with a white sticker on top of it. The middle of the white sticker is torn off to reveal the yellow sticker underneath which has a date of 1/16/2004. Since the white sticker is torn in the middle I can't fully read the date on it. Why are there two different colored stickers on top of each other? I can just tell the date on the white sticker isn't 1/16/2004.... it's January but not the 16th. Anyone?
When I bought my F250 a buddy of mine mentioned that you can call Ford and they will MAIL you a build sheet showing the original build of your truck. So I called, they asked for the VIN and she said it would be researched and mailed to me....and about a week later it showed up!
They will not give you any info over the phone because they forward the request to a resarcher who actually looks up the build.
So, here's the number 800-392-FORD (3673).
The letter starts with the build date and location and then goes on to list all of the options put on the truck.
Really nice to have for those of us who buy second hand units and it didn't cost me a thing.
