Hi all, i am new to these forums but have done allot searching and found some very helpful how to's.
I recently purchased a 2004 f250 5.4l sc which sits on 265/75-16 tires. I would like to install a 4.5" lift kit from donahoe racing, i really wanted to go with the 6" lift but do not want to have to buy new tires and wheels. With my current factory wheels how would the truck look with the 4.5" lift . pics would be great. (I did a search but could not find pics with stock 265/75-16. ) Thanks again

Here you go:
Icon (DR) 4.5" on 265s
Icon (DR) 6" on 265s
FYI, we are running a 10% off special on all complete Icon Vehicle Dynamics (formerly Donahoe Racing) suspension systems. Discount is applied upon checkout.
I have 315 75 16 tires on the stock wheels with a 6" lift. I think the space between fender and tire is ok, but had I to do it again, I'd go with Icon's 4 or 4.5 lift....
1500 DOLLERS for a shackle and block lift. that will get you about a 4 inch lift from just about any other company and it will come with all 4 springs, no Axel hop in the rear and no weak shackles in the front. Don't get me wrong it looks like a nice lift that is very fancy but that's a lot of money for shackles and blocks.
look at truck toyz web sit and see if you cant find a better lift for cheaper IMO, i took a gander and they have good prices.
Lift springs achieve increased ride height through either stack height or (more commonly) increased spring rate. Most also use low grade imported springs which are prone to sagging over time. With an increase in spring rate greater force is required to compress the springs. As a result this increase in rate will adversely effect ride quality. The Icon 4.5" hanger system utilizes virtually indestructible spring relocation hangers which provide increased ride height without increasing spring rate. Icon also offers a 4" spring system however it does not offer the level of plushness offered by the 4.5" hanger system. The choice between hangers or springs should be based upon your individual requirements. However, IMO for ultimate on-road ride plushness and improved off-road performance, lift hangers are the way to go.
