tie rod ends / steering parts

I paid $$ for some MOOG brand tie rod ends from Advance Auto; then a catalog from LLC Truck arrived in the mail; their items are much less expensive. But how is the quality compared to MOOG?

I personally think MOOG parts are overrated. I've seen plenty of them wear out much faster than the OEM parts. It's hard to tell without a true test, but if the LMC parts look to be high quality I wouldn't hesitate to use them.

i know the MOOG outlast the alignment shops "discount brand" they had to replace the tie rods in my 250 diesel 4x4 under warranty and put MOOG in at no cost to me. they were a bit pissed but as i explained to them, I never told you to cheap out, you never gave me a choice, so if you wanna put the cheapo's in again and replace them again under warranty, and also my front tires, be my guest. I dont know however what their "discount brand" was.
also if you run a diesel i wouldnt cheap out, maybe for a half ton they may be just fine.

Ditto.
Cheap alignment pieces lasted less than 25K miles with my lift and 33x12.50's on my '93 F150.
I took back to shop to complain and had them install Moog which they gave me at thier cost, back in 1994.
The drag link is showing just a tad bit of slop at 140K miles later and the rest of the rod ends are still tight.

I might try JBG stuff on my 95 Bronco soon though.

Cost vs Quality and matching OEM specs and fit, Moog is always a good choice.

I have only used MOOG and I also keep everything greased and I've never had a problem. In my opinion MOOG is much better than OEM. Remember it's the same labor regardless of the part but, it's the quality of the part makes the overall difference! Good luck!!
