Well i'm now racking my brain on tire size, i've picked the wheel i want finally and i'm sticking with it. Pro Comp 7005, 0 offset, 5" backspacing. Now its just tires, and tire size.
So what kind of trimming would i have to do if i just go with the 305/65/18 (33.7")? I do go to full wheel lock here and there to get in and out of my driveway, so i definelty want a tire that wont rub. I guess if i have to trim a tiny bit thats alright, as long as its not a lot and it fits perfect after that.
What would you guys do?
305/65/18 (33.7") or
325/60/18 (33")
Also brand suggestions?
Once i figure this tire thing out i can then start sleeping again.
This is my truck, and these are the wheels i'm getting. I also have a 2.5" AS Leveling kit on its way.
I hope that's not the EXACT wheel you're getting, the one pictured is a 5 lug. Shouldn't have any rubbing issues with the 305's and a leveling kit.
What??? a 5 lug wont fit??? (lol jk)
No that picture is not the exact one, just the standard picture they use for the wheel. I got the 6x135 bolt pattern. I already ordered it on 4wheelparts.com earlier today and had them price match subsidiary Tirepackage.com. Walked away with the set for $554.64 shipped (buy 3 get 1 free deal). So no rubbing (hopefully) with the 305's, good to know. I'd rather a little taller and narrower vs the shorter and wider 325/60/18. I think the 305/65/18 will be wide enough, plus the extra height is nice. Also we get a lot of snow here and if i'm not mistaken, the wider the tire the worse it will be in the snow.
Well i ended up ordering the BFG AT KO's 305/65/18. I got them for $290 a peice, $1160 total (cash and carry). That was the absolute cheapest i could find them. I'm picking them up tomorrow, leveling kit will be here tomorrow, then just waiting on UPS for my wheels. I cant wait to get all this on my truck.
