Lightbulb Shocks & Struts

Looking to replace the shocks and struts on a 2001 F-250 Long Bed Crew Cab 5.4 L. Just looking to see what brands to go with for the smoothest ride possible. I do not have a lift kit or anything out of the ordinary.

Thanks in advance.

Bilsteins are popular. I have them and they ride great.

Bilstein HD's X 2. Best upgrade over factory shocks.

Do you have a 4X4? If so, the following is your application for a 2001 (From the Bilstein website)

<FORM action=productsf.php><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD style="PADDING-LEFT: 5px" vAlign=top align=left width=130> </TD><TD width=1 bgColor=#efc031>.</TD><TD style="PADDING-LEFT: 5px" vAlign=top align=left width="80%"><TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD colSpan=3 height=1></TD></TR><TR><TD colSpan=2>FORD F250 4WD SUPER DUTY F

Here's an updated model number for the REAR that is the same application if you have trouble finding those listed above. F4-BE5-C296-H0

Model #'s are different for 2WD trucks.

Just got the Bilsteins on mine. Great improvement (had 95,000 miles on the original shocks). Not a "night and day" improvement, but way better. Especially towing my boat (haven't gotten the TT hooked up yet). Way smoother with the boat. The big bouncing stopped and the recovery from the little bounces was much improved. Bilsteins have my vote.

The truck is a 2WD, but it looks like so far the Bilsteins is the way to go. Hopefully will have some time this Saturday to get it taken care of.

Thanks guys

Here's the information for the 2WD application for the 2001. Might save you some time by having the part numbers.
