Hello im new here and i have a 2k f150 styleside 4x4 4.6 with 120k miles on it new plugs new fule filter, cleaned MAF sensor, ran sea foam through it, replaced o2's, and new pcv and hose that connects it to the TB, and egr valve, (erg is what 1st code poped up so i just replaced it) so i figured vaccume leak... but i dont have a obdII reader. i have done all these things due to the fact i just got this truck and wanted to zero everything out kina deal....so what happens is it feels like it has a govener on it or so i get on the highway i hit about 45 or so mph and it just bogs down at 3k rpm and wont go any higher for a while and the truck get up to speed but takes a while i hear the vavles clacking a bit but that just happend when that bank 1&2 runing lean code poped up. and some time it does shift rather hard, or just bogs down and i have a lot more accleeration at half pelled than being flored........ i have sprayed carb cleaner on everything and brake fluid as well...so i am at a loss. any and all help will be apreciated thanks guys and gals if you need any more info about truck or what not feel free to ask. i tryed to go to another website about f150s but these guys seemed like know it all grade a A** holes so i wont be goin there for ant help. im just lookin for some friendley input thanks again oh yes i forgot i have yet to check my fule pressuer i dont know whare to check it at?? and do they sell the part at napa or crappy autozone?

Sounds like you have a bad MAF, but you need to see what codes come up after you clear them out.
There is a schrader valve (like a wheel valvestem) in the fuel line under the hood. A Fuel pressure tester screws onto there. They are available at most any parts store. I got mine at AutoZone.

You have a vacuum leak that affects both (banks) sides of the engine, fuel pump and M.A.F. sensor won't give those codes. Good luck with locating and repairing.

I'd make a guess it's the intake manifold leaking somewhere. Sounds like you know the carb cleaner trick. I had a similar experience with a Merc Mystique V-6 that turned out to be a leak between the upper and lower intake manifolds. Did you do the Seafoam before or after you replaced the O2 sensors and cleaned MAF?
I bought an '97 V6 a little over a year ago. When I test drove it, the CEL light came on. I told the dealer about it and promised they would fix it and not just pull the CEL bulb.
This last spring, I had to pull the dash as a couple of the dash lights were out and guess what, there was no bulb in the CEL! I put a bulb in and immediately it was on. I pulled the codes and they were 0171 and 0174.
I am 69 years old and felt that I didn't want to pull the plenum. I took it to a mechanic that I trust and he found the PVC elbow and hose were so distorted they would not connect. He replaced them and the codes were gone!!!
