wrecked truck...

Well my once pretty show truck is no longer pretty. As you can see in the picture its pretty well screwed, but what i need to know is what year body parts will fit it. Im pretty sure a 1980-96 bed are all the same, but im wondering if the cabs and front clips interchange through those years to. And if the clips and cabs dont interchange than would a mid 90s front clip and cab bolt right on? by the way this is a 1981 f250

Im fairly sure your right on the bed, and i think the cab is the same bolt up. If you wanna take some pics of the body mounts and some meausurements ill see how it compares to my 95 and let you know

Sucks to see such a nice truck all jacked up. looks like the back window is still good though.

My buddy has a 1982 with a 1987 Front clip and a 1991 Bed.Your gonna have to change the radiator support definitely. My best advice is grab a bed off an 87-91 cause i've heard that is a direct bolt up.87-96 have the same style bed,but as far as direct fit,i'm not sure.It should work though.Sorry for your loss man. It's always sad to see one get wrecked.

ya its certainly not a good deal, but anyways I would like to have a mid 90s front clip, I dont care what year the cab i get is just as long as it fits with that front clip. Hopefully I can fix the bed with just a bed side but will see...

Swapping the front end for something newer is a common swap and it can be done. However if your swapping for a 92-96 front clip,if you want the truck done right, you need to swap the bed.The wheel well lines on the bed will not look right with the styling on the newer front fenders. My best advice is head out to a J-Yard that will sell a complete 92-96 truck with good body panels to you.Swap everything you need, then scrap or part out whatever you don't want.

Man thats too bad that looks like a sweet truck well if you decide on a newer bed like one from 1987-1996 they are a bit different the wheel well flares out and different tailgate and tailights but all in all pretty much the same

good luck fixing er
