how did you do it, was it easy

If you do a search you will find lots of info on the tru-cool and the 6.0 cooler. Installation is easy for either one.

Most people have some sort of extra filter. I use a magnefine, some guys use the kit from dieselsite.com Both are good products.

Well worth it Darin. Especially if you tow but just as good if you are empty.

With a Tru-cool I don't see temps above 190deg even when towing even on some steep grades! I'd call it a 2 beer job. Not hard at all....

I installed a 6.0 cooler, and have been very happy with it. Very easy job, and it is well worth it. It has been a great help with lowering tranny temps while towing the 5er.

Most discount Ford parts dealers will sell the 31-row cooler for around $300. Definitely worthwhile; kept my tranny down below 150ºF where it used to touch 180ºF on the highway.

I bought my cooler from an online Junk Yard. I finally got the right cooler after about 3 weeks. I guess I shouldnt complain, I got for 100 bucks, But it was a nightmare. If I had to do it over again, I would call Ed Th!nk Parts Guy

Tru-Cool or 6.0 cooler. Either one is easy to install and is a great upgrade. I am very pleased with mine.

I have the tru cool and no complaints. If I was doing it again I would go with the 6.0 cooler and remove the little stock one. That way there is less hoses under the hood going to and fro. I just noticed the line off of the cooler to the tru cool is starting to crack a bit yesterday. Not too happy with that.
