My Rearends

Where do i look to find out what rearend i have on my truck? On internet.
Specs and mph vs rpms, maybe mpg.
2000 450 7.3L D
1999 250 7.3L D

Look on the top of the rear end there will be a number. You can look on the main page there will be a link to decode the numbers.

the F250 rear end will be a sterling/ford 10.5 inch rear end the f-450 rear end will probbably be a Dana 80

The 250 would more then likely have 3.73 gears aswell. I think the 450 could range from 4.10s to 4.88s. Ive been getting 16-16.5 mpgs on mine with 3.73s, and driving very very easy. Which IMO isnt bad for 9k of truck (yes Ive weighed it.)

Unless the trucks were special ordered, the F-250 will have a Sterling 10.5 with 3.73 gears and the F-450 will have a Dana 80 with 4.30 gears.
