motor bogging down
i have an 87 f150 with the 5.0. the motor has about 50,000 miles on it and for some reason whenever i go up a hill or try to accelerate more it wants to bog down. i cleaned the intake as best as i could except for the egr valve. i have had trouble with the egr valve gettting clogged up before. does anybody have any ideas what else this might be or why the egr valve keeps getting clogged?

When's the last time you flushed the cooling system and changed the thermostat? A stuck t-stat will cause the motor to always run cool, which will clog the EGR up with carbon. You should have a 192* t-stat in it.
The bogging could be low fuel pressure. If you have a fuel pressure gauge, hook it and see what the pressure is. At idle, it should be 35 to 40 psi.
