another ?

I am completely new to deisels so please forgive simple ?'s. What kind of MPG can I expect from a 2000 F-250 super duty 4x4 with a 7.3 turbo PS. It's a standard cab with 122,000 miles on it. Just a ballpark is fine. Thanks. Jim

Depends on how you drive it, but I'd say 16-17 is about average.

Welcome to FTE, driving style makes the difference for mpg, most with F250 around here average 18 mpg most F350 average 15 mpg.

Thanks guys. mostly consistant hiway. Empty. Just me and a CD. Oh by the way the truck I'm looking at is an automatic. I'm also interested in running homebrew bio in it, any problems or experiance? Jim

i would say 16-20 depending on driving style and also i'll go ahead and mention the intercooler boots and turbo boots if those are all good and tight you can really secure a good mpg avg.
