Value it

Ok, long story short, my truck, (in the sig) sustained some pretty major damage from a hit and run. They did find the individual and arrest them for DUI.

My question is this, how do you value these old trucks, is blue book really accurate? Anyone know what the insurance companies go off of.

Too late now, but agreed value insurance on your truck is the best way to be sure you're covered for the real replacement cost of the truck.... I have mine through State Farm. I told them what I valued the truck at, gave them a few photos of it, and the agreed value of the policy is $20,000.00. Even at that, not sure I could build another one like it today for that amount....

Depends a lot on what was done to your truck and it's condition. Was it fully restored with a pristine body and paint? Or just a driver with a few dings and some rust spots???? I would suggest talking with your insurance agent so he can fill you in on what to expect throughout the settlement process.....
