been busting my head over this, can anyone help? Have 1993 Aerostar, replaced flasher canister. Still no turn signals. Do not have wiring diagram. Can someone help?
Do your brake lights work? The reason I keep asking everybody this, is because the brake lights use the same wiring and bulbs as the turnsignals. We can eliminate that whole section if the brake lights work.
found problem, broken wire, ignition power not present, could not locate break in wire to fuse box. By-pass break and set new power supply to fuse box. Thanks for being there guys, you'all helped before, really appritiate support.
Rear passenger-side turn signal not working... I attempted to change the bulb and this did not solve the problem. What's my next step? The brake lights on the rear passenger side do not work either. Fuse is in tact. All other electrical and lighting appears to be working properly.
Go up to the column and find the wires coming out of the column. There should be a lightgreen/orange wire(left rear light) and a orange/lightblue(right rear light) wires. Put the turnsignal in the center position, and then test for voltage on both wires when you push on the brake pedal.
You should have voltage on the lightgreen/orange, since you said the left side worked. If you have voltage on the orange/lightblue wires too, then that means you must have a socket or wiring problem to the rear. If you do not have voltage on the orange/lightblue wire at the column when you push on the brake, then your multi-function switch is bad, commonly known as a turnsignal switch.
