just picked up a new tranny going to put it in myself
just wondering if i have to reset any thing or check for codes after i put the new one in
any one have any info would be great
also took your guys advice and got some new up pipes and will put them in at the same time and also will also put in new cooler and in line filter
i got the tranny from boyer ford it has all the up dates and a torqe converter comes with 3 year 100,000 warrenty
If you have time, theres a special clip that holds the coast clutch in place. Both the one in my oem one(around 140k), and the new tranny I had put in had that clip fail, and resulted in removal of my new tranny within a month of putting it in. There is an updated clip, but its not a bulletin, so it wasnt put in your trans (or mine for that reason). I went though this with my dealer, and got it resolved. You may want look into it, especially if you like going into 3rd, or 2nd etc, to make the engine brake, instead of using the service brakes.
Also, dont just let the dealer tell you its in there, and such. Because its not a TSB it doesnt get the updated part. Its just a fix for ones that have the trouble.
