McCain admitted the affair and also said that at the time he was trying to be a young fighter jock or something to that sort. Some people look inside themselves and find the real answers to their actions. Others just continue to lie and accept no responsibility for their actions.
a. he was caught,so its easier to come clean
b. wife has terminal cancer and is going to die relatively soon,so its easier to come clean (shes not going to file for divorce in this stage of her life)
personally i would have denied,denied,denied...never have forgiven myself and most likely end up hating myself the rest of my life, than to have admitted that to my dying wife. to me i would not want those thoughts to be passing through her mind amongst some of her last thoughts
I thought it was very showing of how much he cared for his wife when he ran for the dem nomination. If he had won the strain of running would have assuredly diminished her much needed strength to fight her cancer. now her condition is terminal and with his affair being talked about on every news station tonight I'm sure her heart is broken and her body physically exhausted. He is a selfish heartless man and I hope his political future is over
Elizabeth Edwards has "bad energy," claimed the woman who had an affair with two-time presidential candidate John Edwards, according to Monday's online edition of Newsweek magazine.
Rielle Hunter, the mistress at the center of the political storm around Edwards, held the former North Carolina senator in high regard. However, the party girl-turned-healer-turned-videographer was apparently less generous with her former paramour's wife.
"I've only met her once," Hunter told Newsweek reporter Jonathan Darman in late 2006 during a lunch in which she mistakenly cast him as a friend. "She does not give off good energy. She didn't make eye contact with me."
Weeks later, Hunter was fired from her job documenting Edwards on the campaign trail. She called the reporter to tell him, saying Edwards did not defend her when she was relieved of her $1114,000-plus job. But her scorn for Elizabeth Edwards was evident, blaming her for her misfortune.
"Someday, the truth about her is going to come out," Hunter told Newsweek
Edwards has said he would take a paternity test to prove he's not the baby's father, but Hunter has said she won't submit her child to a DNA test. A close Edwards ally, attorney Fred Baron, has been paying Hunter a reported $15,000 per month despite the relationship having allegedly ended in late 2006.

But a woman who has an affair with a married man has 'good' energy?....

I guess it might be easier to paint the wife of the man you are sleeping with as 'bad'......Or else you might, you know, like develop a conscience or something.....Omigosh!

It could be she sensed the adulterating, 'bad' energy coming off YOUR worthless carcass, you bee-yotch.......
Maybe Elizabeth saw something coming that many suspected, but no one knew for sure until the National Enquirer broke the story

There ya go. You had the affair with her husband. You had his child. You got paid $15,000/month for the effort---and it's all her fault because of her negative energies. Did I just about get it all right, you (courtesy of Neil Boortz) 'barking moonbat'?........

The guy is a worm, plain and simple.
If it was not for the fact there is now a child involved, I would not mind hearing that they both died of VD and what is left of their guts dropped out of their behinds, after his wife passes away.
What they have both done to her in her time of need is horrible and neither one really regards it imho.
I imagine, then, rebocardo, that you feel the same abuot John McCain?? I have to say having his guts fall out because of VD while he's on stage at a debate would be disturbing.
Well, I try not to get too excited about these fellers as I usually go one way and don't much listen to what "the other" has to say, generally, mostly, you know. But I seen this a while back & it, along with some other info about the feller in question told me all I needed to know. Now the wife & son & I was talking about this today, so we looked it up. And darned if it ain't set to music now, most appropriate like:
Now that his career in politics is finished he can go back to chasing ambulances.
Grover Cleveland had an ill-legitmate daughter, that didn't stop him from being elected President (non-consecutively) twice.
One of his (legitimate) children was named Ruth, who he called Baby Ruth.
That's where the candy bar of the same name came from. It was not named for Babe Ruth as some think.
Both John Kennedy and Warren Harding had multiple affairs. Kennedy, so the stories go, had them in the White House, so 'ol Bill Clinton wasn't the first to play around in the Oval Office, and prolly won't be the last, either.
