Auxillary Bed/Cargo Lights with Cap
Take some 12 gauge and run it from the battery across the firewall then to a point beside the brake booster,From this point I would encase the power wire inside some protective tube so it runs down and under the cab along the frame and up behind the cab to the left front corner where is attaches to the topper wiring. In 78 Ford sold a wiring harnes for this purpose. The wire was wrapped with that black & grey cloth material to preent oils, grease, road grime from affecting it.
I use this wire lead to run all my lighting ,stereo needs for under the topper.
If you want lighting for the side wall of the topper to use as a reading light, take a couple of pieces of 5/8" plywood with a Fibreglass kit for a secure mount for the lights.
