Alarm install

I am going to install a Compustar Pro 2way alarm/remote start next week and I am planing my install a bit. I have most of the wires from the remote start I removed, however I would like to integrate anything I can and add some sensors. So first, Who has a trigger on their tailgate? The kit will come with a push pin for the hood which I don't need. I just don't think it will look nice to have a white nylon pin next to the tailgate. I am kind of thinking of a reed switch back there.

For the Bedlocker, there is a harness on the brain box that is for a remote wired switch. Does anyone know what signal is needed to run it? I would like to add it as a feature to the alarm remote.

I am going to add priority unlock. So I am going to install a relay under the dash and wire it to the door lock actuator. I hope it's a five wire reverse polarity.

I have a problem with the polarity of my door switches, so I am going to eliminate them from the VSM and run them directly to my alarm brain. Should I diode isolate them anyway?

I've got the alarm, my dash is in pieces and the bed locker needs a ground pulse to operate.

The problem I have just run into is the alarm box CM4000 doesn't have AUX outputs like I had hoped. I am going to use the trunk pop to open the cover, but I think I am stuck using the door lock/arm to shut it.

I am nearly done. I took a break when I solved the 5 wire reverse relay. I just have to find my horn wire and test it and I am mostly set. I am relaxing and making some tea for tomorrow. I'll go back and finish the priority unlock relay soon and test somethings before I hook the brain up. Hopefully it will be daylight and a decent time to honk the horn and sound the siren a few times when I get most of that done.

I stopped for the night around 3:30, it seems 19hrs awake is my limit for figuring out electronics. I am started again, I found the horn, all I have to hook up are the pre terminated items. I am going to set it in it's rough position and test everything, I am hoping to hear from my Tech support about the AUX wires. Right now my bedlocker is setup to close when I lock my doors and open when I use the trunk pop on the remote. I'd like a separate button for close so I can close it as much as I like.

I might have it done by dark.
